My Numbers to 20 book is an activity book for early years and primary aged children and will be added to the catalogue of books for purchase in the next few days.
This booklet is designed to complement and further your child’s number recognition and knowledge by introducing your child to 2-digit numbers within 20. It supports and complements the material that will be taught in school.
Children generally find 2-digit numbers challenging to begin with. Still, with a bit of patience and perseverance, they will soon start to make the connection between the teen numbers and begin to recognise the patterns they established when working on their numbers within 10. This knowledge will help to increase their confidence and number knowledge.
Understanding numbers within 20 will also support recognition of odd and even numbers and the basic skills of early addition and subtraction, using terms like 1 more than/1 less than or 2 more than/2 less than, as well as the number between, before and after. With regular revision and practice, your child will be succeeding in recognising the sequence of numbers to 20 in no time.
