It’s been a fairly busy time here, and there’s been so much going on —it’s been crazy, but really great too.
With two new releases due to go live at the beginning and the end of November 2025, I have been busy marketing and preparing final drafts for readers and listeners.
I love it when a new book goes live. The anticipation of how it will be received is always exciting, and I get to experience it twice over the next month.
Frost and Flame, my cosy Christmas romantic fantasy, will be the first book to launch. It goes live next week, and I hope that readers will fall in love with Daniel, a mortal man on the fringes of despair, and Lumi, the winter frost spirit whom the Cailleach binds to walk the streets on Christmas Eve every year and bless mortals with good fortune.
Then, a few weeks later, book 2 of the Blood and Power series will launch. A Curse of Blood has been an exciting book to write and edit, the narrative starts with a bang, and the pace doesn’t slow down throughout the book. The story brings many Scottish myths and folktales to life and expands the world created when Aelba was revealed in book one. I hope readers enjoy this epic, dark fantasy with twists and turns leading to a nail-biting conclusion.
There is also a teaser for book three at the end of book 2, and I hope it continues to draw readers/listeners in. It really has been a process of love, sweat and tears, but I love how my characters are gaining emotional depth and a more profound sense of who they are as each book is written.
As always, best wishes
Becca
