My Numbers to 20 Book

My Numbers to 20 Book: This booklet is designed to complement and further your child’s number recognition and knowledge by introducing your child to 2-digit numbers within 20. It supports and complements the material that will be taught in school.

Children generally find 2-digit numbers challenging to begin with. Still, with a bit of patience and perseverance, they will soon start to make the connection between the teen numbers and begin to recognise the patterns they established when working on their numbers within 10. This knowledge will help to increase their confidence and number knowledge.

Understanding numbers within 20 will also support recognition of odd and even numbers and the basic skills of early addition and subtraction, using terms like 1 more than/1 less than or 2 more than/2 less than, as well as the number between, before and after. With regular revision and practice, your child will be succeeding in recognising the sequence of numbers to 20 in no time.

Fractions and Time Activity Booklet

Fractions and Time Activity Booklet: This booklet is designed to gently introduce your child to fractions and time, supporting and complementing the material that will be taught in school.

Children generally find these topics quite challenging to begin with. Still, with a bit of patience and perseverance, they will soon start to make the connection between fractions, time, and number knowledge.

Understanding fractions also supports time, which is why these two mathematical concepts have been presented together. If your child can understand half of a shape, then this can be applied to learning half of an hour. With regular revision and practice, your child will be succeeding in no time.

My First Phonics Book
(letter set 1)

My First Phonics Book: This booklet is designed to introduce your child to the first six initial sounds tackled at school when children are learning the alphabet/phonics and the early skills of reading and writing. The remainder off the initial sounds will be covered in follow on booklets.

Each letter is introduced by looking at the letter shape and familiarising children with how each letter looks allowing them to build knowledge of how each letter sounds phonetically. Children will then find and identify each letter/sound, use the letter/sound at the start of a word, in a word and later building confidence in blending these letter sounds to make and break words. Your child can then read letters/sounds and decode words whilst being introduced to common words, to make for life long skills which transfer to the development of reading and writing more complex sentences.

My Second Phonics Book

My Second Phonics Book: This booklet is designed to further enhance the skills and knowledge developed in My First Phonics Book by introducing your child to the next set of sounds tackled at school when children are learning the alphabet and the early skills of reading and writing.
