The Legacy of Ash & Fire
There’s something exciting — and slightly terrifying — about stepping into a brand-new series.
Today, I wanted to officially talk a little more about The Blood That Burns, the opening novel in The Legacy of Ash and Fire series, and what readers can expect from this new chapter of the world surrounding the Triquetra Coven. It’s available for pre-order now.
While the story exists within the same universe as A Coven Reborn and the other Triquetra series books, it is not a direct continuation and does not require readers to have read the previous books.
The Blood That Burns has been written as a completely new entry point into the world.
New characters.
New conflicts.
New dangers.
And a story designed for both returning readers and those discovering this universe for the very first time.
If you have read The Triquetra Series, you’ll likely recognise certain references, lore, histories, and deeper connections woven quietly beneath the surface. Those details will deepen your understanding of the wider world and some of the darker mythology surrounding magic, bloodlines, and the legacy left behind by the covens.
But if you’re entirely new here? You are absolutely stepping into this story at the right place.
The emotional journey, character arcs, worldbuilding, and central narrative of The Blood That Burns are built to stand fully on their own. You won’t feel lost, and you won’t need prior knowledge to experience the story as intended.
In many ways, this series explores an entirely different side of the world.
The tone is darker.
The stakes feel more personal.
The magic is more dangerous.
And the scars left behind by the past have begun bleeding into the future.
At its heart, The Legacy of Ash and Fire is a story about inheritance — not only of power, but of fear, violence, loyalty, sacrifice, and the consequences of what previous generations leave behind.
Some legacies save us.
Others consume us.
And some are written in blood.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more teasers, character reveals, worldbuilding details, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into the creation of The Blood That Burns.
For now, though, I simply wanted to say this:
Whether you’ve been here since A Coven Reborn or are discovering this world for the first time through The Blood That Burns, I cannot wait for you to step into the fire with me.
Happy reading,
Becca
